A joyful Bengali New Year gathering invites children and families to experience music, poetry, tradition and togetherness.
A colorful start to the Bengali New Year
Goodwill School is welcoming children and families to its Boishakhi Celebration, a special gathering dedicated to the spirit of Pohela Boishakh. The program is scheduled for 16 April, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at the school’s Banasree, Dhaka campus.
The celebration will bring together dance, songs, poetry recitations and traditional food, creating opportunities for young learners to enjoy familiar customs in a festive school setting. From colorful performances to shared moments with friends and teachers, the event is designed to make Bengali New Year meaningful and memorable for children.
More than a festive occasion
Cultural celebrations play an important role in early education. Taking part in a song or recitation helps children practise speaking and performing before others, while group activities encourage cooperation and a sense of belonging. Experiencing local traditions at school also gives children a connection between what they learn in class and the cultural life around them.
Goodwill School aims to make the occasion welcoming for its youngest learners as well as their families. Parents and guardians are invited to share in the celebrations and encourage children as they participate in the program.
